Static torsion tests in focus
TIZ as a partner in research and development
In the current project with the Oberaigner Group, the parking lock of a gearbox was examined as part of a static torsion test.
The gearbox was clamped in place and loaded specifically until failure using a specially developed test setup with a hydraulic pulse cylinder.
This allows the actual failure torque to be determined and, above all, to understand how the system behaves under increasing torsion.
