Resonances in the spotlight!
Resonance search is a fundamental step in the development of a vehicle, as it identifies the actual dynamic properties – in this case of an upper carriage (note: the rotating structure of an excavator), fully assembled for the first time, including the cab.
The relevant frequency spectrum is scanned to identify natural frequencies and critical resonance points. The data obtained is used to optimize the dynamic behavior of the machine.
Together with the technicians from Liebherr Group, who were on site during the resonance search, we were able to define the test accuracy.
This makes resonance testing the basis for efficient and meaningful vibration testing.
