Contactless vibration measurement with the laser vibrometer<\/strong><\/p>\n

In cooperation with LB-acoustics Messger\u00e4te GmbH, we carried out a laser vibrometer measurement at the MAST as part of the testing of the 700 bar hydrogen storage system for heavy commercial vehicles from Voith HySTech.<\/p>\n

This technology is based on the Doppler effect: the frequency shift of the reflected laser beam compared to the emitted signal allows the surface speed to be measured precisely – and completely contact-free.<\/p>\n

We used this method to measure vibrations in all three spatial directions. One of the highlights was a specially manufactured subframe, with which the laser vibrometer was lifted by crane to a height of 5 meters, allowing us to measure the hydrogen storage system from above. Further measurements were taken from the ground using a tripod.<\/p>\n

This measurement method is used to validate simulation results – a crucial step in verifying and improving their accuracy. In this way, we offer our customers an even more sound basis for their development processes.<\/p>\n<\/div>
